It appeared to be relatively new so maybe this was a promotion to let people know where they were located.

Jamie & Randy, that is a great story about the buckeye. People around here also know of the luck of the buckeye. Unfortunately this shrub won't produce the buckeyes of good luck. If it did I would be in big trouble with it planted by the house. I have some buckeyes from a tree that grows not far from our house. I just love the feel of them.

Pam, I think the prices were quite good on most things. As any auction there were items that went for what you would normally pay. I think I did very well with my purchases.

Frances, this shrub has beautiful blooms on it right now. I will try for some photos at my next opportunity.

Annie, we arrived early enough that we could look at the plants offered for sale. They were surprisingly in great health. I think there was more than one nursery selling their products there as some were marked with different colors of ribbon and they made mention of it to the clerk.

Gail, thanks for the id of the Buckeye. I hope it doesn't get so large. The sign on it stated that it only gets 4-6'tall. If it is what you say it is it will be twice as tall. UGH.. I hope not. Either that or I will be clipping it back all the time, or moving it.

Thank you all for stopping by and enjoying my auction purchases.Lisa at Greenbowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743973292900758183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1376606540097525538.post-72870787694402371552009-04-29T18:41:00.000-04:002009-04-29T18:41:00.000-04:00What fun Lisa!
