Even with drought? I'm impressed. In Toronto, we're having the opposite extreme: too much rain. Curious about your Asiatic lily... don't you have problems with the red lily leaf beetle? It has devastated all the lilies (formerly) in my garden.Helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14527649631254016576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1376606540097525538.post-63514779609358229312017-07-03T13:37:59.398-04:002017-07-03T13:37:59.398-04:00Don't let anyone shame you for using older day...Don't let anyone shame you for using older daylily cultivars. The blue eye on 'Paper Butterfly' looks just as nice as some of the new flowers being hybridized. We have a few members in our local Daylily Club who seem to want the newest thing, and some of them will offer arguments on why everyone should be this way. It works for them and their collection must be humongous. We try to buy for the characteristics we love in a daylily...in our case large flowers on tall scapes, preferably unusual forms. After all, you need to love the flowers in your garden, no sense in watering and weeding things you hate.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18184551540374933832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1376606540097525538.post-36506340919519313082017-06-23T07:55:26.781-04:002017-06-23T07:55:26.781-04:00Beautiful flowers!
