We had our share of it too, earlier in the summer, and my hostas suffered the most. We weren't as dry as you, but dry enough. The recent rains have been welcome but we're missing the sunshine now. This week has been wet, dreary and chilly. A happy medium would be appreciated ;)<br />Your HBV is gorgeous! And yes, yay for phlox!! The slugs have been eating the blooming stalks before they bud/bloom. That's never happened to me before but my city in in the midst of a record number of rainy days so maybe that explains the explosion of slugs. Seems like they might have been blooming by this time last yr., but I don't know for sure. I'm going to huess it's either too shady or too sunny where I have them. Because I planted my garden to be lazy, things actually look OK for me since I never water any of my plants (except for the veggies and one damn container). :)Monica the Garden Faeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06369882350990949968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1376606540097525538.post-32538139351591089992010-08-16T07:56:57.776-04:002010-08-16T07:56:57.776-04:00That sounds like a plethora of blooms for you.
