Skywatch Friday

For the first time in many days we have beautiful sunlit skies. Just a few white whispy clouds. It looks wonderful to me. The sunshine makes those -2 to 16F temps more bearable.
Happy Sky Watch Friday to you all. For more skies to watch go here.

  1. Very nice. It is mostly a gray day here with some sunlight poking through now and then. We have reached our high of 28 today.

  2. I don't see snow on the ground, did you all not get any?

I am so thankful for the sunny day, I can't imagine these temperatures without the sunshine. It would be most unbearable.

  13. Wonderful shot, Lisa! Those are the kind of clouds where fire rainbows are born. Have you ever seen one? I saw a small one about three weeks ago.--Randy

  14. Randy, I don't suppose I have never seen a fire rainbow. I have never heard that term before. It sounds most interesting. I will have to google it to see what it is.

Mon@rch, it is funny that you mentioned painting skies. I have found that the most difficult thing to do. I have never been pleased with any effor I have made to paint skies. They look so simple yet to get that texture and whispyness it is so difficult.
