Happy 2019

On a gloomy foggy cold day I looked at the lemon tree here in my living room and found there was a bloom!  A positive way to begin the new year.
I hope you are having a positive start to 2019 too!

    1. You are right a very bright note since today we haven't seen a hint of sun. This little bright white bloom is sweet.

  6. Happy New Year back at ya! Snowing lightly here but going to warm up enough in the next few days that it looks like it will all probably melt.

    1. Hi Linda, it might snow here the next couple of days. I doubt it will stick. Not much predicted.

    1. It is so nice to see a bloom. There are a couple of buds on the tree too. They smell so good when several are blooming together.

  10. Is it nice and fragrant? How much fuss does it take to grow a lemon tree indoors? Is it a dwarf? Happy 2019!

    1. Hi Jason, I don't find this tree a bit fussy. The only time it fusses is when I bring it inside for winter. It drops a lot of it's leaves. This year especially for some reason. This tree is a Meyer Tree. I don't think it is considered a dwarf. I will let it get as big as it can in the pot it is in and then treat it like a bonsai. Cut back the roots and repot it in the same pot. If your sunroom is tall enough you could let it grow tall. The blooms are very fragrant. I have smelled one of the larger trees that was grown in a sun room and it about ran me out. ha... I don't have to worry about this one gettting that big. It does smell delicious when there is a cluster of blooms.

  12. Yes Lisa I agree a bloom is certainly a promising start to a new year. My African Violet decided to bloom too. It certainly perked up my spirits and filled me with hope. Take care friend...spring will be here before we know it and the garden will be calling. Hugs!
