Fairies in the Garden

I woke to a foggy overcast day here lately and immediately wondered if I might find fairies out and about since there was much of the required settings to lure fairies out into the open. Especially since this is near the Summer Solstice. I have some iris planted in a fairy ring. This little metal fairy sits here in waiting for her live comrades to come and sprinkle fairy dust on her so she can come alive and frolic through the garden with them. We did have the wet webs here. I must say that if you want to know more about fairies and what they like in a garden so you can have more fairies visiting your garden you can go to Faire Gardens where Frances has all sorts of information about fairies and their likes and dislikes.

I love the angle of that first photo. It's like a fairy's view point of your garden.

I must look for spider webs in my garden to photograph. They are so beautiful with the dew clinging to the threads.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog. I was in a fairy watching mood a few weeks ago, but they are far to clever to let me see them;)

I will save your link and come back often.

Lovely photographs.....the spiders web is beautful, dripping with jewels.....
I love fairies, I get much joy in talking to Poppi about our little friends.
Did you know I send them to Poppi every night to sprinkle fairy dust to help her sleep!!

Your fog and the dewdropped spider web are lovely, Lisa - and what a cute idea to make an iris ring. I bought a small fairy statue too, but sent it to Washington State. A metal fairy in Austin might get hotter than a playground slide!

I love the thought of fairies skipping through the garden in the early morning mist!

I tried to take a picture of a spider web yesterday and it didn't work. I guess the key is it has to be wet, huh?

Your Garden is very lucky to have those Fairies around to protect it!

Love it!

The fairies throw dust in your eyes so you can't see them.

They also borrow my small hand cultivator, and forget to put it back when they are finished with it! ;-)

Oh my goodness, what great shots. The dew drop web is just fantastic. I want to come to your yard and dance with the fairies...LOL

That's a great fairy ring... and I'm sure that spiderweb captures a few hidden peeks as well.

What a lovely web. I have barely had time to look at my garden lately but these are surely the most magical weeks for most gardens. At least in my area.

Lisa, so sorry you didn't catch a glimpse of any faries. The setting looked perfect for them. Your fairie ring of iris is so cute. What a clever girl you are. And of course you did a great job with the spider web. I was thinking you shoulld paint it and the fairie.

Those fairies can be ever so elusive. (Great shot of the spider web.)

I'll bet that she is one busy fairy in the evenings. ;c)

Hi Lisa, how charming your fairy ring is, I bet the fairies had a little round dance there a couple of nights ago. Thanks for the link and the shout out, much appreciated. Your climate looks much more conducive to good fairy watching, with dew and fog than mine. The drought is entrenched now. It is like we have a big dome over us not letting any rain clouds in.

Putting a fairy in the middle of Irises is such a great idea to make use of that otherwise dead space. Your photo of the dewy web is magical.

Love the photo of the spider web! The fog creates the perfect atmosphere for fairy festivities; hope they stop by to visit you.

No fairies here..that I've seen. THey're either hiding in the fog or else they've blown away in the wind. ;-)
