I woke to a foggy overcast day here lately and immediately wondered if I might find fairies out and about since there was much of the required settings to lure fairies out into the open. Especially since this is near the Summer Solstice.
I have some iris planted in a fairy ring. This little metal fairy sits here in waiting for her live comrades to come and sprinkle fairy dust on her so she can come alive and frolic through the garden with them.
We did have the wet webs here. I must say that if you want to know more about fairies and what they like in a garden so you can have more fairies visiting your garden you can go to
Faire Gardens where Frances has all sorts of information about fairies and their likes and dislikes.

I love the angle of that first photo. It's like a fairy's view point of your garden.

Did you know I send them to Poppi every night to sprinkle fairy dust to help her sleep!!

ReplyDeleteYour fog and the dewdropped spider web are lovely, Lisa - and what a cute idea to make an iris ring. I bought a small fairy statue too, but sent it to Washington State. A metal fairy in Austin might get hotter than a playground slide!

They also borrow my small hand cultivator, and forget to put it back when they are finished with it! ;-)

Your climate looks much more conducive to good fairy watching, with dew and fog than mine. The drought is entrenched now. It is like we have a big dome over us not letting any rain clouds in.
