The Wild Braid-May Muse Day

I can't tell how much I enjoyed this book. If you like poetry at all and gardening, obviously, you will love the way Stanley Kunitz with Genine Lentine has put together some of Stanley's thoughts about gardening over a near century. It has a few color photos in it by Marnie Crawford Smauelson. Just a delightful book. I wish I could conjur up the words to express how much I like it. I will read it again no doubt. Maybe you have seen and read this book but I didn't want anyone to miss The Wild Braid. It is such a jewel. Poetry and gardening all in one book.

  1. Dear Lisa,
    Happy May Day!
I have never heard of this book. Thank you! On my list. I shop a used book store so I hope they have it. If not Mother's Day is coming up.
    Bird songs and butterfly wings,

  8. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. It is funny how books affect people different. You might decide I had lost my mind when I read this. Ha...

Diana the berm is coming along ok. You must remember I am slow. I have to wait too for my DB to dig out the other big bush. It was such a chore he won't be ready to do it soon. I am patient though.

Wow BV. I didn't realize you were a prof and poet. Had you heard of Stanley Kunitz before? I hadn't until this book. I would like to read more of his work. What have you published Benjamin? I know you profs are supposed to publish. I would like to read some of your work.
