Even though the sun was shining and the skies were crystal blue there would be no swimming on this freezing Friday. The wind chill was below freezing but it was great to be out and about in the sunshine. Luna, Luna did you hear me? NO SWIMMING.
It didn't matter if you looked up river...
Or down river you didn't see a cloud in the sky. That means it will be even colder tonight. That is ok. It is late fall after all.
Happy Skywatch Friday to you all. If you want to see more sky pictures go to Skywatch Friday to see many more skies from all over.
Luna must have obeyed. The river even looks cold!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing Luna and your sky is so-o-o-o BLUE!!!
ReplyDeleteI see you made SURE Luna wouldn't go swimming! Nothing like a biting wind to make it seem even colder than it is. It is VERY windy here today but 4C (39F) and overcast. Still no snow.
ReplyDeleteCold but beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus
Yes, it's cold here, too, but the skies were clear and sunny. Glad you had Luna on a leash; she looked ready to jump in despite your warnings:)
ReplyDeleteHi from another gardener. Your blue skies look good to this Seattlite.
ReplyDeleteAw, we haven't seen Luna in a long time. So good to her again. Yikes, it looks so cold and blue! brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is magic. All the planes merge and mingle and part company. The pup seems totally OK with it. These are delightful.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of your river and sky! Luna is pretty puppy!
ReplyDeleteBrr...it is in the mid twenties and getting colder here in Nashville!
Let's all stay warm!
Luna does look a little impatient waiting in the truck. :) Beautiful river and beautiful skies. A lovely day for a walk.
ReplyDeleteLisa - that is the sweetest picture of Luna waiting patiently for you in the car. And a lovely sky, but sure does look cold!
ReplyDeleteLove you beautiful pictures. The are so clear. It is like being there. Hug Luna for me.
ReplyDeleteNice photos and beautiful scenery. I love the dog! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou have a stunning looking dog Lisa and I bet you spoil her, great shots place looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI sense a new series: Freezing Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh mom, she looks like she so wanted to jump right in! Glad she didn't! :c) Brrrrrr....
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful baby Luna is! She sure does look ready to go in that first picture. :-)-Randy
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I want to try SkyWatch Friday, and will...soon! I love your photos. And your doggie:)
ReplyDeleteI used to visit your blog before I took a break over the summer. Now that I'm back, I'll stop by more often! Take care! Jan
HI Lisa.......lovely blue sky and lovely Luna...havn't seen her for a while, always a treat when I do......
ReplyDeleteI love the river....so clear......a beautiful area.....is that near you??
Nice photos and post, Lisa! I hope you let Luna at least stick a toe in, though... she looks so eager. :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you all liked seeing Luna as well as the sky shots.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, yes the river is close to us. About 4miles away from where I live. We go there often. Not much there except a boat launch and some camping areas. It isn't too big but good for a change of pace.
All of you looking at Luna straining at the leash, yes, I have to keep her on the leash especially in winter becasue I don't want her to jump in. She has no fear of water. Often I let her walk to the edge of the water at one of the boat ramps. She loves it.
Even with the freeeeeze temps it look like a beautiful Indiana's day. With that blue skies Luna looks more brighter. Here's like 65-75 and is cool, i can't imagine that wind chill. Maybe one of this days i'll be there on winter, MAYBE.
ReplyDelete(sorry if i write some words wrong)
You enjoyed a beautifully sunny day... how nice you could enjoy the day at the river. Very pretty. I assume Luna didn't get wet, or you may have had to beat a hasty retreat home! :-)
ReplyDeleteluna is something special, what a beautiful dog, and so white. lovely pics. why don't you join us in dogs on thursday?
ReplyDeleteSince Luna means Moon, anytime your beautiful dog appears is automatically a Skywatch day!
ReplyDeleteYou're so philosophical about how the beautiful blue sky signals colder days and nights, Lisa - a very wise way to engage with the realities of weather.
Annie at the Transplantable Rose
Soulbrush, I would love to join you on Dogs on Thursday but as pretty as LUna is she hates, I mean Hates, to have her picture taken. I rarely can get a decent picture of her. I will try though.
ReplyDeleteLuna wanted me to tell everyone that says she is pretty "Thank You". She doesn't feel that you see, she is very shy.
Hi Lisa, like everyone else, I adore seeing wonderful Luna. What a face she has. So glad she didn't get wet, brrr. Clear skies are beautiful but do mean the night will be more cold here too. We are feeling like it is midwinter rather than late fall here.
ReplyDeleteFrances
Dear Lisa,
ReplyDeleteIt does look cold. The wind has kept me from walking.
I was tickled by the idea of "Freezing Friday".
Still no snow at my house.
Stay warm,
Sherry
Your landscape and dog are both very beautiful. I have been enjoying the late November skies here in WNY very much. Very dramatic.
ReplyDeleteLovely skywatch. It was great seeing your dog too.
ReplyDeleteMarnie
This is definitely big, furry dog weather.
ReplyDeleteThank you for another blog holiday. I hadn't known about Skywatch Friday, but we pay a lot of attention to the sky here at End of the Road Farm. My husband's chair is situated so he can look at our Big Sky all the time. Our arbor was built high so that it doesn't interfere.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see that you and Luna had a fun day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dog! That water looks cold.
ReplyDeleteI hope she obeyed you! The truck would have been quite wet. Beautiful sky!
ReplyDeleteLisa, Luna is doing so well!!!! Right? I just love that shot of Luna leaning towards the river :o) Good dog...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky shots. Looks cold... but after all, it's late November.
Stay warm.
Mary
Looks like Luna loves the water too :-) What a lovely cool day with beautiful blue skies.
