We were leaving yesterday and I happened to look at the roof. What was that??? There were tracks on our roof. What, or who in the world was on our roof traipsing around?? I don't think it was the crow that i sitting in the tree in the back garden.Upon further investigation we can see right where they hop onto the roof.
Ahhhh... doesn't he look cute! And so innocent. But we know that looks can be deceiving!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, too!

I thought it was going to be one of the flying squirrels!
ReplyDeleteThose creatures are all over our roof and always looking for a way in! (Nibble Nibble like a mouse...Who's been nibbling at my house?)
Lisa,
ReplyDeleteWhile looking at your photos I had a flashback to winters in St Louis! I am letting my snow fantasies go!
Love the squirrel looking so cute and happy at Chez Greenbow! Every night we here some creature drop from a huge oak tree onto the roof and run over to the privacy gate and climb down! It is either a possum or a raccoon.
Have a good weekend and do keep warm!
Gail
Are you sure it wasn't reindeer? :) Seriously, that squirrel looks so cute sitting there. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteLisa, I must not be fully awake yet, because I had no idea what had made those tracks:) Wonder if he has stored some nuts on your roof? Thanks for starting my day with a chuckle.
ReplyDeleteThey are cute! I kind of miss having the little rascals. I wonder just how long it will take before they find there way here.
ReplyDeleteI know they're naughty. But they're so. darn. cute. Unlike the 4 voles/moles the bad catchildren caught in the basement this morning and delivered to us.
ReplyDeleteAs I started reading this I was hoping it was our coyote on your roof lol. Those squirrels are adorable little destructive things arn't they. They certainly put up some adorable poses for you.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is he....and he looks well fed.....
ReplyDeleteAlthough they cause damage we wouldn't be without them, would we??
Absolutely Adorable! What a fun investigation :) you made my heart smile :)
ReplyDeleteI love the last photo. He looks lke he's found a safe place high above all that snow. I just imagine the squirrels are not used to that much snow either.
ReplyDeleteAt least the sun is shinning there today and it looks a little warmer. We're having sun and a warm up too! Hurray! Have a great weekend.
My squirrel tracks tend to also have part of the squirrels bottom in them, but it's space to say my snow is a lot deeper than that on your roof. My squirrels are fine; it's their groundhog cousins that damage my garden, but at least they hibernate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie... we don't get those here - infact I've only seen 2 squirrels around here in 5 yrs - they were the little red ones with furry ears! Miranda
ReplyDeleteIt's a constant battle to keep them out of our attic. They are crafty little things.--Randy
ReplyDeleteThey're so annoying but I can't help but laugh at them - all the time.
ReplyDeletePretty icicles!
Very cute!
ReplyDeleteCute little guys . . . hope they are not bowling up there . . I know mine in my attic do! :)
ReplyDeleteYour squirrels look a bit differnt to ours (here they are red), but they are as sweet (and probably naughty too) as ours ;-) !!
ReplyDeleteI know they can be destrucitve, but my goodness, how cute they are!
ReplyDeleteKatarina
A shame they are destructive, they are so cute...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice pictures anyway.
So adorable rascals:)
ReplyDeleteIndeed they are cute!
They ARE cute! But I can say that because our squirrels stay away from the bird feeders, probably because of the cats. Even though the cat would likely lose in a confrontation, I don't think the squirrels know that!
ReplyDeleteoh thats so cute! our fury animals only come out at night, so I just love the way squirrels get around in plain view!
