*FOS SNOW!!
I always get excited about the First Of the Season Snow. I don't know why. I guess it is the kid in me that likes to see that first soft blanket of white that always seems to slow down the world for just a few hours. The kids in school today were probably happy too since they delayed school for 2 hours this morning. Ha... lucky kids.
I am not the only one that enjoys the snow. My big furry dog, Luna, loves the snow too. She likes to run and bury her nose in the snow.
My Dearly Beloved has tried to get me to put away the Casa for the season. I have resisted but we will have to get busy now and get it put away. If we get more snow I would be afraid that the roof would collapse. A friend of ours has told us stories about how the roof of their canopy fell after a heavy wet snow at Thanksgving one year. Yes, I must go and get the Casa down so I don't hear a bunch of 'I told you sos'.

All I can say it is difficult to deal with change. This new Blogger format is not as user friendly in my opinion. I guess I will get us...
It is so beautiful. I hope we get some this year.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! As a fellow snowdog companion ("owner" doesn't seem like quite the right word!!!) I love watching them at this time of the year. I always tell Coco, "You have SNOW NOSE!" because there's a cute little pile left on her snout when she's done rooting around... she wags her tail happily at this pronouncement!
ReplyDeleteHow fun for Luna! It looks beautiful and is exciting. We had our first snow this past weekend too, very early for us. Yuck, I don't envy you having to take down the Casa in the cold. So sorry it has to be done.
ReplyDeleteFrances
It looks beautiful and I can well understand why Luna would be so exited - I would be too!!
ReplyDeleteYour not alone! I adore snow.
ReplyDeleteIt is very beautiful, but I hope we don't get any soon. They are forecasting some for this week or next which is a bit early for OK. Happy snowfall.~~Dee
ReplyDeleteI do believe you've gotten more snow than we have here in Chicagoland. It looks lovely. Luna reminds me of my late white Borzoi. Hard to find outside at night in the snow and loving every minute of it. Don't feel too bad about not getting the Casa put away yet. VIS finally finished putting away the patio furniture this morning.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa.....the Casa looks so beautiful in the snow, picture perfect...
ReplyDeleteI love to see your snow....we rarely get it here now. Last year was an exception. Luna matches perfectly....white on white....I love it......
The first snow of the season looks so exciting! The Casa is pretty with snow on it. Good thing you got a picture with snow before putting it away.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful indeed. The first time I woke up to a dusting of snow like yours, I was in awe of the silence and peaceful beauty of it. Luna is beautiful, too!
ReplyDeleteHope the weather isn't too cold. Otherwise taking down the casa will be uncomfortable and you will probably still get the 'I told you sos':)
ReplyDeleteMarnie
The first snow is definitely exciting! If it ever stops being exciting I'm going to feel very sad.
ReplyDeleteLisa, now that's a pretty snow! Just enough to get you in the holiday spirit, but not so much that it makes getting out and about difficult. We barely got enough to cover the ground. :(
ReplyDeleteLuna looks so at home in the snow and blends very well. Those rabbits better watch out. :)
A photo of pretty white Luna in the snow looks like it's make a hard jigsaw puzzle.
ReplyDeleteYes, first snows are exciting. Funny how the dogs love to get there noses right into it!!!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed waking up to snow this morning. It wasn't much and melted pretty quickly, but I think there's more on the way.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was funny that the south got snow before we did!
Oh wow, you got snow!!!
ReplyDelete(actually, I knew that already as I read your comment on Cheryl's blog and just had to pop over for a look!) I LOVE snow!
Great blog - I've really enjoyed reading it :)
Lisa, What a beautiful sight that first snow fall is~~Luna looks like she's saying, "Come on, let's take a walk before it melts!" gail
ReplyDeleteOh, but the Casa looks so beautiful in the snow! It reminds me of one garden Beckie and I saw at the Chicago Flower Show last spring showing the garden in four seasons. This looks just like their winter scene! I can't believe you've already had snow and we haven't, but I did see scenes from Indy on the local news last night. Our snow is supposed to be coming in tonight; we'll see then if Sophie likes snow as much as Luna.
ReplyDeleteLuna fits right in with the winter color scheme:)
What a beautiful first snow, and Luna looks right at home! :c)
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI clicked to enlarge the first photo, and feel you should go back and suggest that people do that. It was fun to see the details in your yard, and the smile on Luna's face was precious!
I'm getting a snowy post ready, too, but Heidi wasn't out when I was taking the photos from the doors.
It's so neat to see those familiar things covered in snow. And gosh, I can hardly see Luna lol
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I too love the first snow of the season and we finally got ours overnight, though now it's raining! I guess I like pretty much all snowfalls (I even live shoveling... until about April!).
ReplyDeleteHey Lisa, wonderful to see your snow covered garden. So pretty when its white and crisp... I'm wondering if two days later it still looks like this :-)
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing Luna with snow. Like Frances, I don't fancy your job of taking down your Casa out in freezing temps! Hope it goes well :-D
I also love the first snow of the year.
ReplyDeleteYour gardens look beautiful with their white blanket...Luna is a Snow Dog!
We received a nice blanket last night. Temps have dropped to 8 degrees....It always amazes me how the birds stay warm when it is sooooo cold.
Be full of care as you go about.
Namaste,
Sherry
Lisa - We are having more snow today. And wind. I'm glad I don't have to go out and can give myself over to holiday chores indoors. I hope you'll visit and enter my drawing for Right Rose Right Place by Peter Schneider and 2 dozen CowPots. Justleave a comment and the drawing will be on Sat. Dec. 12 am.
ReplyDeleteI thought that lovely Luna would enjoy the snow as Tara loves it too. No snow here though, there very seldom is any.
ReplyDeleteSound thinking about how to avoid the told you so's. ;-)
Luna looks absolutely stunning in the snow! What a gorgeous image ~ enjoy the snow...we are still waiting...just lots of rain!
ReplyDeleteLuna looks so cute and calm here!
ReplyDeleteThis is what I call white Christmas:)
Luna is just beautiful: what a sweet face.
ReplyDeleteThe snow is beautiful too :-)
I think that first snow is a special blessing. It is so full of magic.
ReplyDeleteLisa I thought it was a greenhouse!! Luna looks perfectly comfortable with the snow and I must say very beautiful!!
