I am happy to report that the little tree frog came out in the open last night. I knew that it was still with us the other day when I dusted and found frog poop on the table. I just couldn't find it during the light hours.
I was so excited to find it when I went to close the curtains for the night. He sat there awaiting a rolly polly bug to pass by. I didn't give him a chance at dinner this evening. I took its picture and then set it outside. I am so glad it was a mild evening. Today looks to be nice and warm too. It can find a good meal and then snuggle in for a long winter's nap.
Catch and release is a great way to begin a month of giving thanks.
If you haven't read the saga about our tree frog you can go here for the rest of the story.
Oh good. I am so happy he will be settled in outside with lots of bugs. I love hearing them outside right now.
ReplyDeleteGlad he's out with others of his kind.
ReplyDeleteTree Frogs are part of my pest control crew in the greenhouse along with anoles and eastern fencepost lizards and of course, the cat.
Perfect Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI do so like a happy ending :0)
That is so cool (except the part about the frog poop). I'm glad you found him alive & well.
ReplyDeleteI also am so happy you found him!
ReplyDeleteSo cute.
I have a few spider friends inside to help with crickets....

It's a good story about the tree frog, Lisa. Now you have found him again and set him free. I hate it when those little critters get in the house and die.
ReplyDeleteWe had what we think was a tree frog clinging onto the window of our back door. He was green. I suppose he thought we would open the door and he could jump in! :)
..
I love froggies and am glad he has been safely caught and released. gail
ReplyDeleteHello Chris patron frog saint, I've followed your comments on several of our mutually terrific blogs so I'm stopping by to officiaaky say hello
ReplyDeletehello!
Did you have a good summer? Mine was glorious. I spent almost 3 weeks with my family in Texas. Despite the heat, the visit was much needed. Love tree frogs, but ours are long since gone to bed.
ReplyDeleteJust brilliant, Lisa! Can't imagine either a frog in my house or seeing frog poop. Just love the idea of tree frogs in the garden... not sure about house guests although a great photo opp then :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your weekend. Sorry missed your Blogaversary on the day - hope it was a good one :-)
I am happy for this good news!
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad that you were able to catch him and get him back where he belongs. What a happy ending. :)
ReplyDeleteOh the amount of insects one tree frog can clean up is a wonder! He'll be so happy outside. Meems
ReplyDeleteGreat story with a happy ending. Glad you were able to find the frog on a mild day so it would have an opportunity to settle in outdoors.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know his story has a happy ending! He must be enjoying this warm weather in your garden. I just got back last night from visiting Daughter in Arizona, and I was amazed when we landed in Indy that it was 70 degrees--it is warmer here than it was in Phoenix!
ReplyDeleteLisa girl I missed this post of yours and it took me a while to see this tiny creature ! It is so delicate looking and absolutely wonderful that you were able to get it outside during a not so cold period of weather.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed it finds just the right home to burrow into for winter !
Fantastic picture girl !!
Joy : )
I love those little tree frogs too, and I'm glad he is okay due to your care. Hope your Saturday is beautiful.~~Dee
