These daffodils were given to me so I don't know the variety but they are very prolific. I have a very good stand of them. If anyone knows the name of this variety I would sure like to know. They are blooming early this year. The reason why they look so short is that I only cut the ones that the wind blew over. The wind is probably going to take care of the rest of them tonight as a severe storm is forecast for the area.
Do you have any blooms for a vase today? Some people have all sorts of beautiful greens and things for their vases. Why not join in and show what you have in your vase now.
Lisa, the daffodils are such fresh clean colors, just perfect for early spring. We had such hot weather in NC during February most of my daffodils have run their course already. Of course it there were freezes during the weekend.
ReplyDeletevery nice daffs. The variety could be Goblet or Holland Sensation.
ReplyDeleteThe two different shades of yellow make a nice contrast - but with so many varieties available it would be hard to put a name to them ;) Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteVery nice - so exciting to know that spring is on the way.
ReplyDeleteNo blooms but rain and high winds forecast for today and tomorrow. That will push the snowdrops up — and possibly knock them over! I like that white and yellow combo since I am a white daff girl.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely! From the look and your describing them as prolific, I would guess that they are N. 'Ice Follies.' I have them all over my yard and they are reliable producers.
ReplyDeleteThose daffodils are so nice and bright and colorful and happy. :)
ReplyDeleteThey're so pretty! I like the birds you selected to accompany them too.
ReplyDeleteOh so lovely to see the artistic display of daffodils ~ Spring coming ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a peaceful week ~ ^_^
Daffodils always make me smile. The earliest ones are just starting to bloom here. I hope you are all OK after the storm.
ReplyDeleteThose daffodils are lovely. I don't recognize the variety but I like the two-tone look.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting to see the first daffodil bloom here. With the return of winter, it might be awhile.
