The Back Garden From Above

We had an outfit come out to give us an estimate on a new roof. Our roof is 24years old so it is time. We have had a couple of issues. The fellow that was on the roof measuring and looking things over has been here before, a really nice fellow. I asked him if he would mind to take pictures of the back garden when he finished. He said sure. The following is a short video he did. I didn't realize he was going to do that and came around the corner of the house to tell him not to worry too much about all the tree limbs in the way. I think he did a good job with what he had to work with.

I hope you enjoyed the short tour. Have a great weekend.

  1. I love aerial shots and wish I had a drone. This is beautiful!

    1. I have often wished that too Phillip. It would be great to see your garden from a drone. Your garden is so much more full than mine. If you had your own drone you could look at your garden through the different seasons.

  2. That was wonderful, Lisa! I haven't the guts to get up on our roof myself but I periodically think of asking my husband to do so when he goes up there to check on things - but he has a problem with vertigo and I'd never forgive myself if something happened while he was taking photos for me. We're supposed to get our roof re-done as part of the current remodel, however, so maybe I'll come across a helpful roofer like yours.

    1. I used to get onto the roof yearly to clean gutters and the valley of Ash Tree seeds. I don't do that anymore. I have developed a vertigo too. I wouldn't trust myself up there any more. I am glad you enjoyed the tour. The video and/or pictures does give one a different perspective of the garden. You can even go on Google Earth and have a look at your garden during different years. You don't get great detail but you can sure see the difference.

  3. It's beautiful! It all looks so lush. Also, it shows the layout "Oh that's over there😊". What fun.

    1. Yes, It is difficult for me to describe what I see. I asked Michael to just take pictures. It was his idea to take a video. Clever fellow.

  4. The height really shows the beauty. You have a lovely garden.
We are up for a new roof too. 25 years old. A couple of leaks during last hurricane, fixed. Soon.
