Happy Independence Day

As we are getting ready to go to a picnic party today, it has started raining. That is ok. It is supposed to stop by the time that we are to be there. Keep your fingers crossed for us, as I will be hoping taht you all are having a fun day.
I can remember the days when I worked at a hospital, especially during the early years, I had to work about every holiday. When your work schedule is like this for some years and then eventually you get to be off work for the holidays it is really a treat. In my garden I have a spot or two of some red white and blue. All in varying hues of course but I thought I would share them with you.
This combo is another that is a happy accident as far as the red white and blue is concerned.
Now this combo is actually what I tried to do. The red monarda and the blue phlox is cooperating but...

the white snowball bush that is supposed to be blooming right now is a little behind schedule. Oh well I think I can find a red, white and blue flower combo from the garden to take for picnic decoration. Happy day to all.

Walk at the park

We had to take a short break from all the work in the garden to take our little girl to the park for a walk. It is amazing how the forest floor comes alive at this time of year. It seems like it took a few short days to get here. This path was literally lined with Rue Anomenoes. Just beautiful.
Here we found a sea of May Apples.

Jack in the pulpit were up and preaching.
Larkspur were popping up all over the place, as were the blue phlox. Just beautiful.
Have a great weekend.

New Blogger, Old Blogger

All I can say it is difficult to deal with change. This new Blogger format is not as user friendly in my opinion. I guess I will get us...
