Bees Knees - Prompt 1- Change

Today I was reading Cheryl's blog and she was takling about her bees coming out. It seemed so early to me what with sleet slapping my window as I read about the bee in her Cherry Blossoms. Then I went over to One Single Impression and started reading all the wonderful poetry people are posting as the first Prompt has been posted since Sunday. Well, I must say I am not a poet but the combination of reading about Cheryl's bees and all the Haiku flying around One Single Impression I couldn't resist a go at it. The above is what came out. I will write them out in case you can't read it on the painting. Obviously not a true Haiku but Haiku-like.



Bee knees gather
powdery golden nectar
honey flows



Sipping spring tonic
bees stagger
in Cherry Blossom Cups
at

    I saw your poem on Cheryl's blog. I loved the one your wrote for me once... You truly are a talented artist, Lisa. And, it's so nice that you share your talent with so many people.

    A woman of many talents, you are! We have seen bees on the warmer days in between cold spells. Where do they go when it is cold? But they are out in the hellebores, crocus, daffs, quince, and mahonia, so there is pollen for them. Thanks for sharing your poem and art.

    Lisa, that is so beautiful. I'm sure it made you feel wonderful to focus on doing something creative and beautiful, instead of pining away for spring, (trying to make myself learn a lesson here).

    LOVE THEM! That is exactly what happens to bees, too! Your artwork is stunning. The poems are bright and cheery just like spring shall be! (It will. Maybe after this ice and sleet tonite. Oops, no, more snow this weekend! LOL)

    With Rosemary blooming on the patio, we usually see bees almost every day, but cherry blossoms?? Only your lovely painting can will show them to me. I like the way your writing looks on the painting, Lisa!
