Oh Lisa, Happy Hallowe'en! Those look so good lit up in the dark! I was wondering which ones you did, assuming the ones you are holding onto? The cat and straight mouth face? What a talented group of friends!!! Makes me want to do surgery on one of ours. :-) Frances
Frances, yes, the ones we kept are the ones we did. It was fun. Everyone was able to keep their pumpkin.
Gail it was a blast. Our gracious hostess and host had prizes of each pumpkin with the most clever names for the prize. I wish I could think of all the names.
What a great idea! I always get a small pumpkin and set it on my porch railing as decoration... but I don't carve or paint it... the squirrels handle the carving for me before long. I always used to carve pumpkins with my niece and nephew but, well, they're 24 and nearly 21 now so it's been a while. Hosting or attending a pumpkin carving party sounds wonderful!
Looks like a great time was had by all. I'm getting ready to carve pumpkins but not until tomorrow. I usually wait until the day of--then they start to rot out pretty quickly after that. As long as I've still got kids at home it's fun, but otherwise I'd probably only do it if at a party like that!
Oh, that's wonderful, Lisa! I'm so jealous, both of the beautiful jack-o-lanterns and the fun I know you all must have had... I need to host a pumpkin-carving next year, I think.
What fun! Love those pumpkins, especially the last photo with them lit up. Wishing you a belated happy Halloween, Lisa, and happy November! We had a perfect Indian summer day here today. Hope you got one too.
Those are some very nice pumpkins my friend. Thanks for properly identifying my hawk. If I have any other birding questions,I'm gonna come see you. Thanks again.~~Dee

ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun, Lisa! At our house, Halloween seems to be left to the kids. I think I need to take some lessons in pumpkin-carving:)

ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea, Lisa -keep those grownups busy carving pumpkins so they don't get any ideas about toilet paper & shaving cream ;-]
