Let me just tell you it has been the most beautiful day today. The sun was out all day and we are going to do our first grilling of the year. WHoooo hooooo..... You can see that we have tulips poking up around the welcome sign. I have several of these types of stones around the garden. They were all given to me by friends and family.
My first helebore blossom is trying its best to open today I doubt if it makes it but maybe tomorrow if the sun is out again we will have our first bloom.
The Naked Ladies are sending up their greenery. I didn't remember that they came up at the same time as the daffodils but they are this year. It is odd how they greenery shows up and then disappears. I always think I will seperate them and plant some elsewhere in the garden but I never get around to doing it. I forget all about them when they die down.
The Maple tree is blooming up a storm. It will soon be throwing its pollen all over the place and I will be sneezing.
The yellow crocus are popped up everywhere now and are blooming their sweet little faces off. We even have greenery of the purple ones up today. It won't be long and we will have some purple blooms.
Although I have been ballyhooing about the bright sunshine and warming in our garden when we took Luna to the park we found that winter has not loosed his grip. Not much was popping up other than a few more humans at the park. This must be a sign of spring too as we are usually the only people here during winter.
The only good thing about Luna's heart conditon that I have found so far is that it appears that we will have a little slower pace going through the woods now. It seems that smells have overtaken her drive. I don't mind this because we will have more time to look around.
Great pictures! It's great to see how it all comes back, the green, the colours, life all over!ReplyDelete
Hope you enjoyed your burguers!
Makes me all warm inside to see all the beautiful spring like photos Lisa! What time should we all be there for dinner? Mmmmm.... I can smell those burgers from here in GA!ReplyDelete
Lovely photos Lisa. First bbq is always exciting! Your helebore blossom looks like a ribbon rose - just beautiful! Luna looks like she is enjoying her walk in the woods :-}ReplyDelete
What a happy post! Flowers, beautiful day, walk with Luna, slowly, and burgers. Now we're talkin'!ReplyDelete

This is so encouraging! If Crocus & Hellebores are blooming in Indiana, it won't be long before mine are too. I'm glad Luna can go for walks (you too). DH doesn't believe in limiting grilling to the warm months, but it definitely slows down when there's so much snow you can't find the grill or when the choice is between Steak Tartare & frostbite.ReplyDelete
Thank goodness! There's hope for all the brown. It's encouraging to see green just a little south of here.ReplyDelete
These are marvelous pictures. I enjoyed the tour of your garden. We have only glimpsed our bulb flowers growing. You give me hope, though!ReplyDelete
Where's the line to the burgers? Next time i visit Indiana i want one of those!! I offer you a Puerto Rican dinner when you make the trip here.ReplyDelete
How nice to share in your excitement about the arrival of Spring! We knew it would come! The crocuses are my favorite photo - they are so perky there, peeking up through the dormant grass. Hope you enjoyed your burgers - I'll be they tasted amazing! Nice to see Luna enjoying her walk.ReplyDelete
You have blooms! Seeing the crocus is exciting.
No blooms here but I am looking forward to a couple of warm days!
Luna looks as if she is having fun.
Lovely pictures! The only thing green here right now is ME! lol.ReplyDelete
I must have somehow missed the news of Luna's heart condition... but she looks like she's doing just fine here. (Nature is a tonic, isn't it?!)
Wonderful photos and looks like such a great day to be out grilling!ReplyDelete
I am glad you all liked my springy post. It sure felt like spring was winning the battle today. It is supposed to get even warmer the next couple of days. I can't wait.ReplyDelete
The burgers were great too. :)
I will look forward to serving you burgers Gabriel. I will look forward to having dinner Puerto Rican style sometime too.
Luna is doing just great with her meds. Nature sure is the best tonic for her ole momma.
Lisa, how wonderful to see spring at your place. That means in about 2 weeks we should be having it! Of course we are seeing Robins and we know it can't be far behind them! So glad Luna is doing better. There are miracle drugs out there.ReplyDelete
Spring! I love it. I had to be at work all day but saw some signs of spring in my garden this evening. Hopefully, things will speed up in the garden now. No more snow! No more ice! I need to check my hellebores tomorrow.ReplyDelete
Carol, May Dreams Gardens
Beckie, you sure are up late. I know I am too. I am having trouble dealing with the time change. I wish they would just leave it alone.ReplyDelete
Carol what are you doing up so late too. You have to go to work tomorrow. Me too...I better get to sleep.
when my oldest daughter was around 10 she got miffed at me, and went out front and beheaded all the naked ladies. She stomped around and yelled off with their heads in her best Red Queen manner. Then she felt bad and gathered them up and tried to hide the evidence.ReplyDelete
Monday was nice here too, and today looks as if it's going to be even better. Our Naked Ladies and maples appear to be in about the same stage of development.ReplyDelete
Beautiful pictures lisa! Glad to see/read that Luna is doing well.ReplyDelete
Lovely pics, it's great to see the spring blooms in your garden! Your hellebore is just about ready for blooming! How was the italian burger?ReplyDelete
Sneezing or not, you are up for this season! It's amazing what a little warm weather can do so quickly!
I'm glad Luna is out and about. It's good for her to keep her nose down for slowing down. There's so much to smell now!
Those are lovely stirrings of spring, Lisa. We get a little closer every day!ReplyDelete
Lovely post Lisa. Oh how I wish I could grow crocus...the rabbits eat them, they never survive. Enjoy them for me.ReplyDelete
Glad to see Luna and that she is looking well, long may it continue.
Heres hoping the sun stays with you and your hellebore comes into bloom.
Lovely pictures of spring. My naked ladies are already all up. Check out my 3/11 post, to the left in the second picture you can see the spikey green leaves.ReplyDelete
Beautiful photos! And hope that Spring really IS coming. Lovely.ReplyDelete
Hope the grilling was good.
I tagged you for a book meme if you have the time.

Wonderful, you can already have your first grillparty and we are glad to be inside as it is very stormy here! If there is something left from your grill, tell me please ;-) !!!ReplyDelete
Thank you for your very nice comment on my blog :)
I love your welcome stone - it is marvellous - is is carved? what skilled person has made such precise carving - or they do it with machine? I don't know. Do you?
Lovely signs of spring! Luna is a lucky dog to go for such enjoyable walks with you and your DH. I'm glad you can find the positive side of her slowing down :)ReplyDelete
She's such a sweet girl.
Lisa, I was happy to read that Luna's meds are working and that she is doing well. A walk in the woods does wonders for our spirits doesn't it?ReplyDelete
It is great to see that spring has arrived there.
